35-year-old Brooke Hanlon was found unconscious on the floor with stab wounds in the couple’s home in Chester Township, New Jersey, on June 6.

A New Jersey psychotherapist was found stabbed to death inside her home last month after her husband called 911 pleading for emergency assistance.

35-year-old Brooke Hanlon was found unconscious with knife wounds on the floor of the couple’s home in Chester Township, New Jersey, on June 6. Her husband, James “Conor” Hanlon, called 911 at approximately 4:30 pm, asking the dispatcher for help with CPR.

“I just found my wife (inaudible) CPR, I need CPR instructions,” he said on the 911 call. “I need you here. I need you here immediately.”

The 911 operator asked if she was bleeding and conscious, to which Conor screamed, “No!”

“Oh, oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god,” Conor said while hyperventilating.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said that Brooke was found dead with “multiple sharp force injuries.” The county medical examiner’s office ruled the death a homicide, though no arrests or suspects have been identified.

The husband obtained a lawyer and has been communicating with investigators. Conor has not been accused of a crime and has no prior arrests or criminal history.

The couple met in Boston and then moved back to New Jersey in 2023. They had just welcomed their first child together last year.

According to a report by Fox News, a neighbor of the couple said, “There was a lot of activity out there on the 6th. I’d talked to Conor a few times before. We mostly texted. We’ve lived here about a year, and he’d text me whenever bears were around.”
