Two people hospitalised after high-speed jetski crash on Gold Coast river
Two people have been hospitalised after a high-speed jetski crash on a Gold Coast river.
CCTV has shown the moment one of the jetskis turned into the path of another on Nerang River about 12pm today.
Both riders had no time to swerve and the jetskis collided, sending their riders flying into the water.
Nearby jetski riders and boaties came to the riders’ aid and helped them to shore as emergency services rushed to the scene.
A man in his 20s was treated for a leg injury by paramedics at the scene while a woman also aged in her 20s suffered facial injuries.
They were both taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.
