Trump endorses Jerrod Sessler to replace ‘pathetic RINO’ Dan Newhouse in WA state’s 4th Congressional District
On Friday, President Donald J. Trump endorsed Jerrod Sessler for United States Congress, who is running against incumbent Rep. Dan Newhouse in Washington state’s 4th Congressional District.
Rep. Newhouse is one of two remaining House Republicans who voted to impeach former President Trump over Jan. 6. The endorsement shows that Trump made good on his promise that he would not endorse incumbent candidates who voted to impeach him.
In a statement on Truth Social, the former president encouraged Washington voters to support Sessler, calling him a “fantastic candidate” whose political views align with the America First movement.
“Jerrod Sessler is a fantastic candidate and will be a GREAT Congressman for Washington State’s 4th Congressional District. A Navy Veteran, JP, Loving Father and Husband, Jerrod will fight hard every day to secure the Border, stand for the Rule of Law, strengthen the Military, take care of our Vets, Defend our Nation, and protect our always under siege Second Amendment,” wrote Trump.
“He is running against a weak and pathetic RINO named Newhouse, who voted to, for no reason, Impeach me,” continued Trump. “Newhouse has to go!”
“Jerrod Sessler is MAGA all the way, and has my Complete and Total Endorsement – He will never let you down!!!” concluded Trump.
Sessler is a decorated Navy veteran, former NASCAR driver, and successful entrepreneur, who describes himself as an “America First Patriot.” He is a Christian, husband, and father to three kids, and defeated terminal cancer after he was diagnosed with the disease at the age of 29.
On his campaign website, the congressional candidate wrote: “In order to prosper we must put America first. When we win, the world wins because a strong America is a protective America. A strong America has resulted in a world that is safer and more stable than at any other time in human history.”
“While the left would have us think America is a cesspool of racism and bigotry, the truth is that we are the freest and fairest nation ever, flaws and all. Join me on this journey to build a future we can be proud of. I promise that as your representative, you will have a congressman who will loudly and proudly say, “Yes” to America,” said Sessler.
