Failed presidential candidate and former VP Kamala Harris was slammed for her “word salad” answer when she was asked about the possibility of running in 2028 as she has been stepping back into the political spotlight, delivering a series of public appearances and interviews as questions continue to swirl about her future ambitions followig the 2024 election.

Appearing alongside former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Austrian World Summit in Vienna, she was asked about her “listening tour” around the US and what she has learned from people in the country. Harris, who has previously been criticized over not always giving straight answers said, “What people are telling me includes that they want to believe in systems, and they’ve lost trust in those systems.”

“What I hear a lot is that people know that at the end of this administration there will be a lot of debris. I tell them often, I can’t guarantee that it won’t get worse before it gets better, but the one thing I do know is at the end of it there will be a lot of debris, and it would be irresponsible to then address that in a way that we only talk about what should we do, what do we need to do to rebuild. If we do that with any sense of nostalgia, that would be irresponsible, because the reality is even before there were many things that were not working for a lot of people, the status quo is not working for a lot of people, and what the people are telling us is that they want things to be better,” Harris added.

X user Amy H responded, to the clip, “The word salad queen still reigns supreme.”

Another user said in response, “Who talks like this?? Platitude sandwich of words and she doesn’t say anything.”

Another responded, “We need a word salad translator for this incompetent retard.”

The remarks come as Democrats continue to grapple with the fallout from the 2024 election, when Harris inherited the top of the ticket after President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance. She ultimately lost to Donald Trump
