WATCH: Biden Receives Less Than Enthusiastic Reception When Visiting Pennsylvania Gas Station
President Biden received a less than enthusiastic reception when he visited a mostly empty Pennsylvania gas station on Wednesday.
The president’s motorcade pulled up outside a Sheetz location in Moon Township, which is located in the Pittsburgh area, shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The mostly empty store was very quiet as the president, who was wearing his signature aviators, made his entrance. He then paused to chat with a child before greeting a small group of customers who appeared to be in line.
Once he got to the counter, Biden handed over some cash and picked up takeout bags before taking a picture with the staff. As this was happening, one of the president’s aides was aggressively telling a journalist to “get back.”

The White House later released a statement explaining that Biden was picking up sandwiches for local construction workers. A spokesperson for Sheetz said Biden’s team placed a large order online that also included fruit and other ready-to-eat items.
“Everyone loves a good Sheetz Run, even the President of the United States,” Sheetz said in a statement.
The scene represented a stark contrast from similar campaign stops from former President Trump in recent days. On Tuesday evening, Trump was greeted by a massive crowd chanting “four more years” and “we love Trump” as he visited a Bodega in deep blue Harlem, New York.

The former president momentarily joined in on “four more years” chants himself before posing for pictures with the large group of supporters.
Earlier this month, the Republican frontrunner received a warm reception in another blue stronghold when he stopped in an Atlanta Chick-Fil-A. The former president could be seen joking around with staff before buying them lunch in a clip that went viral on social media.
