Trump Strips Secret Service Protection From Hunter, Ashley Biden

President Trump on Monday revoked Hunter and Ashley Biden’s Secret Service security detail “effective immediately.” The move came just hours after the former first son was spotted, with his protective detail, on an “ultra-luxurious” getaway in South Africa when he was expected in court for a deposition.

“Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States Taxpayer. There are as many as 18 people on this Detail, which is ridiculous!” the president wrote in a Truth Social post.

According to a report from the New York Post, Hunter flew to South Africa in order to avoid what was expected to be a lengthy deposition scheduled for this week in a California lawsuit. California District Court Judge Herman Vera granted Hunter’s motion to dismiss the case on Thursday after the former first son claimed he could no longer continue to fund his lawsuit against former Trump staffer Garrett Ziegler and his nonprofit Marco Polo.

Hunter was already staying in a luxurious Cape Town hotel on the day the case was dismissed, however, as evidenced by photographs obtained by a reporter with The Post. Ziegler’s lawyers had warned the court that Hunter was had fled to South Africa to potentially “avoid his deposition in this case,” according to a court filing submitted last week.

“He was in South Africa before the judge even decided the case,” Ziegler said Friday. “That means he is assuming his daddy’s appointee is gonna rubber stamp what he wants.”

President Trump highlighted Hunter’s high-priced getaway as a primary reason for revoking his sizable Secret Service detail.

“He is currently vacationing in, of all places, South Africa, where the Human Rights of people has been strenuously questioned. Because of this, South Africa has been taken off our list of Countries receiving Economic and Financial Assistance. Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection.”

Trump added that Ashley Biden, 43, will also be losing her taxpayer-funded security detail. Likewise, Ashley Biden who has 13 agents will be taken off the list,” the president’s post continued.

A Secret Service spokesperson soon confirmed that the agency is working to immediately comply with the president’s directive. “We are aware of the President’s decision to terminate protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden,” Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement. “The Secret Service will comply and is actively working with the protective details and the White House to ensure compliance as soon as possible.”

Agents guarding the Biden children will continue with their duties until the necessary paperwork formalizing Trump’s order is finalized, sources familiar with the matter told The Post. The process is expected to begin as early as Tuesday, the sources added.
