Trump Is Associated To King Charles, Bombshell Report Claims
A new genealogy report is stirring up plenty of chatter as King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrive in Washington for a high-profile State Visit.
Research conducted for the Daily Mail claims President Trump and the British monarch are distant relatives, potentially 15th cousins, linked through a shared ancestor: the third Earl of Lennox, a Scottish nobleman with ties to King James II of Scotland.
The report traces the alleged connection through Lord Lennox’s daughter, Lady Helen, who married the 11th Earl of Sutherland. Their family line, the Mail says, continued through the Sutherlands and into Clan Mackay, producing Donald Mackay, later named the 1st Lord Reay and described as a loyal supporter of King Charles I during the English Civil War.

From there, the line reportedly moves through generations of Mackays before connecting to the MacLeod family, eventually leading to Mary Anne MacLeod of Lewis. She emigrated to the United States in 1930, married New York developer Fred Trump, and became the mother of Donald Trump, who was born in 1946, according to the report.
That claimed family tree creates an eyebrow-raising historical twist. The same report says Trump’s newly highlighted royal link also runs back to King George III, the British monarch whose rule the American colonies rejected in 1776.
The timing is especially striking as the United States approaches its 250th anniversary of independence this year, with the royal visit putting the spotlight back on the long, complicated relationship between the two allies.
Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump welcomed the royal couple to the White House on Monday. A formal ceremonial reception is scheduled for Tuesday, as the visit continues with meetings and events expected to focus on diplomacy, security and economic ties.
