Likud officials, however, are advocating for a later date of October 27th, hoping the extra time will allow them to pass critical laws regarding the Attorney General’s role and media regulations before the house is dispersed.
While some Likud members are attempting to “cool the fires” by claiming that a solution may still be found, the mood in the Knesset is one of deep frustration.
