Paul Rudd Reveals Daughter Darby’s Response to Him Working With Nick Jonas

There are perks of being an A-lister.

And while Paul Rudd’s son Jack, 20, and daughter Darby, 16—whom he shares with wife Julie Yaeger—are not normally impressed with their dad’s star power, his collaboration with Nick Jonas on the movie Power Ballad changed the game.

“I think my daughter is impressed that I got to meet Nick Jonas,” Paul told E! News during the film’s New York City screening May 19. “She’s excited about that.”

Though the 57-year-old admitted Jack and Darby aren’t always the most vocal with their support.

“They’re like, ‘This is like dad’s job,’” he said. “They got other things to worry about and to concern themselves with, and that’s fine with me. I think that’s great, but I do think that quietly they’re proud.”

But while Nick and Paul’s onscreen relationship is fraught in Power Ballad after Paul’s character accuses Nick’s of stealing his song, their friendship hit the right chord offscreen.
