Host: As if summer heat doesn’t roll around every year, the hysterical media now pitch the expected high temperatures as a climate catastrophe. The most dangerous World Cup ever for players and attendees.
And if you dare have a few brewskis while watching the no fun police, Associated Press says you can blame your hangover on climate change as well.
Joining us now is Climate Depot.com Executive Editor Marc Morano. Marc, I kind of thought we were in the post-climate-change-ruining-everything phase of life. And now it’s like this is the first time ever. An American summer has been kind of hot, and if you’re running around playing a game, gosh, you might sweat a little bit, Marc. What’s going on?
Marc Morano: They talk about Trump Derangement Syndrome. This is clearly Climate Derangement Syndrome or CDS. Every event that happens now has to be destroyed by climate change. This is a group called Climate Central, which did this ridiculous, extreme modeling scenario of the 80%, 81% chance by the year. 2040, that this city could have a high temperature of X, and that could affect future games.
We now have the major media, corporate media, and climate activists saying that climate change is going to cause people to drink more because they drink more in hot weather. And you’re going to have worse hangovers because the impact of alcohol is going to be worse in hot weather. The players, according to the United Nations — which is even getting into this now — are going to run slower.
So these drunk, badly drunk, hungover fans are going to be watching extra slow players, which I guess won’t matter because they’re going to have beer goggles on anyway, and the players are going to look fast to them. They are calling the World Cup, ‘the most dangerous games’, and it’s supposed to be the highest carbon footprint ever for any sporting event.
And on top of all of that, they’re saying that they’re not even going to be able to continue to play these games because of the extreme heat in the future, and they’re going to have to move it to a different season. This is just like Bizarro World.
Just when you think you’re out of the climate alarmism — they pull you back in for the World Cup. It is so much nonsense. By the way, the hottest decade and the hottest years were in the 1930s, according to the EPA, under both Biden and Obama, with the 1930s in the United States. So if we were holding the World Cup in the 1930s, temperatures would likely be hotter than they are today in the United States.
Host: Do all of these so-called journalists realize that they not only look but are comically irretrievably stupid for writing these articles like we’ve moved on?
Marc Morano: They come from the Washington Post, the UK Guardian, all these different outlets. It’s like, how does an editor approve these articles? They had an article last week. I think it was Bloomberg, or the LA Times, talking about how the Trump administration’s ICE deportations are increasing their carbon footprint, an 88% increase over the Biden administration, and we should stop deporting illegal aliens because it’s causing bigger climate change. This is what makes it for the news. They’re so crushed by the Trump administration, they’re so crushed by the public lack of support for any climate. Three decades of failure pushing climate scares, this is all they have left to scare people.
Host: Polar ice isn’t melting, and the billionaire bankrollers are missing their mark in funding climate activism. Apparently, the billionaires are not meeting their climate obligations. The LA Times is reporting that Jeff Bezos’, $10 billion Earth fund pledge, is falling behind, with 4 years left on its 2030 timeline to disperse that cash only 28% has been allocated. He’s lost enthusiasm, apparently he’s not the only one out there does that tell you, though, that maybe the air is really coming out of the climate change balloon
Marc Morano: Oh, absolutely, you have Jeff Bezos, not even funding a third of his $10 billion climate change. This was supposed to save the world. Then you have the Zuckerberg foundation with Mark Zuckerberg, Meta, Facebook, they’re closing up shop, you have Bill Gates shutting down, or severely curtailing funding, and now actually funding climate skeptics. Why is Bill Gates doing that? Well, first off, Bill Gates now says climate isn’t a catastrophe. He’s being attacked by Al Gore at the United Nations and climate summits, and Bill Gates is all in on AI. AI, whether it’s Bezos, Meta, or any of these billionaires, is not compatible with Net Zero in the climate agenda, and that is driving it.
But also give credit to EPA Chief Lee Zeldin and President Donald Trump for flipping the narrative on climate. Just no one’s interested in this, and the billionaires are now seeking greener pastures.
