Steve Bannon: Trump Will Demolish ‘Deep State’ in First 100 Days in Office

Former Trump strategist Steve Bannon predicted that former President Donald Trump would completely deconstruct the ‘deep state’ within his first 100 days in office.

Bannon said during his War Room podcast, “The first 100 days of President Trump’s second term will be the equivalent of the first 100 days of FDR [Franklin Delano Roosevelt].”

“FDR, in his first hundred days, started the foundations of building the administrative state, the deep state. The first 100 days of President Trump, I think you’ll see the beginning of the deconstruction of that and the destruction of the deep state, along with dozens and dozens and dozens of other policy proposals,” he added.

Bannon recalled how former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie put together the future president’s first transition team, calling it “a joke.”

“We reviewed it, but we threw that away,” he said.

“During the first few days on the job, every hour felt like a race,” Jared Kushner recalled in his Memoir of the opening hours of President Trump’s time in office.

However, Bannon and Kushner did not always see eye to eye.

“President Trump does like to have the tension of different viewpoints and debating things—and the best idea wins. So that’s not a negative,” Bannon said, likening Trump’s inner circle of advisers to Abraham Lincoln’s cabinet.

Bannon noted that Trump’s first 100 days in office suffered because “we didn’t have a deep bench of MAGA-type people that had understood policy or had been in the government before.”

“You have groups like Heritage and others that have made a huge effort,” he said, citing Johnny McEntee, a young Trump insider who is now part of the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, officially unaffiliated with any candidate, but seen by many as a blueprint for the second Trump White House with a stronger executive and weakened executive branch bureaucracies, the Epoch Times reported.

“I think President Trump’s first days will be very dramatic,” Bannon said, predicting a dramatic immune response from MAGA foes.

“They will come at him from every different angle, just like they do on the lawfare now,” he said.

The 2024 election will be like nothing we’ve ever seen and it would be foolish to assume the ‘deep state’ would not pull out all the stops to prevent Trump from retaking the White House.

In August last year, Tucker Carlson voiced fears that the deep state establishment is plotting to assassinate Trump because everything they have done to bring him down has failed.

“They protested him; they called him names. He won anyway.” Tucker said.

“They impeached him twice on ridiculous pretenses,” he added.

“They fabricated a lot about what happened on January 6 in order to impeach him again. It didn’t work. He came back. Then they indicted him. It didn’t work.”

“He became more popular. Then, they indicted him three more times. And every single time his popularity rose,” Tucker noted.

“If you begin with criticism, then you go to protest. Then you go to impeachment. Now you go to indictment, and none of them work. What’s next?” Carlson asked.

“I mean, you know, graph it out, man! We’re speeding toward assassination, obviously, and no one will say that!”
