Pro-Life Groups Will Fight Pro-Abortion Democrats Nationwide
“That’s enough moping,” to quote Stephen Kruiser. Agreed.
Are you angry? Disappointed? Even crestfallen?
Sure, all are understandable reactions to getting our head handed to us, as we did on November 3rd. And, surely, to quote the insufferably smug Barack Obama, gloating after winning the presidency in 2008, “Elections have consequences.”
Let me offer you my take, less than a week after pro-abortion Democrats cleaned the Republicans’ clock, winning in states where they were said to have no chance.

#1. The Democrats/Abortion Industry/Legacy Media (inseparable, aka joined at the hip) would consider it excuse-mongering, but it is simply true that there was no tidal wave of support for unlimited, up-until-birth abortions surging across the country. Larger forces—which we could all check off—put defenders of unborn babies on the defensive.
#2. Gary Bauer is an astute political observer and passionate pro-lifer. He wrote this week
The exit polls show how dramatically America’s political landscape shifted over the past two years. The most devastating change was the turnout among Bible-believing Christians.
White evangelicals, a core conservative voting bloc, consistently make up about 25% of the electorate in presidential or midterm elections. This year, however, they accounted for only 17% of the electorate.
That’s a third fewer conservative Christians showing up to vote. If you run the numbers, it means we lost 8 to 10 million conservative votes. That’s huge!
While pro-abortionists practically ran to voting booth, there was huge drop off among White Evangelicals, by all accounts, the most consistent pro-life voting bloc.
#3. Speaking of elections having consequences, John Stonestreet wrote
The Democratic party must now reckon with its growing radical element, which is saying something for a party that long ago enshrined abortion at all stages of pregnancy and for any reason. Among their elected ranks now are seven self-described socialists, two liberal Protestants with extreme views about God and sexuality, and a Muslim with a troubling history of both statements and relationships. Though this election is better understood as a repudiation of Republicans than an endorsement of the more radical Democrats, those radical elements are now firmly in place.
The darker side of an increasingly influential radical component of the Democrat Party was largely masked during the electoral season. Now their true colors will show up. Having scouted the perimeter, the fox is no longer doing reconnaissance. Thanks to the midterm elections, he is in the henhouse
#4. The damage is not confined to Congress. Democrats have a trifecta—control of the state House, Senate, and governorship—in at least 21 states. As a result, for example, in Minnesota, pro-abortion lawmakers “are now expected to pursue their radical so-called ‘Equal Rights Amendment’(ERA),’” according to Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL). Among other things, the proposal “would entrench abortion-up-to-birth for years to come” and “erase the conscience rights of churches and people of faith.”
MCCL says it “stopped the ERA bill in 2024 (despite total pro-abortion control!). We can do so again—through the efforts of Minnesotans like you all across the state.” MCCL offered many ways for pro-life citizens to keep up to speed on pro-abortion shenanigans and how to intercept them at the pass. And
#5. MCCL is only one of NRLC’s state affiliates gearing up to fight off the worse impulses of the abortion-obsessed Democrat Party. This resistance stretches across the country. Here’s my final thought for today. which I pray you will take to heart.
“A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence,” Jim Watkins writes.
Or, in the words of J.K. Rowling,
“It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay though never quite eradicated.”
