Vogel has been involved with Rose City Antifa for nearly a decade.

A federal judge has sentenced a veteran Rose City Antifa member to one year of probation for a 2025 attack at the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland, Oregon. Katherine Meagan Vogel, 39, pleaded guilty in July to forcibly intefering with a federal law enforcement officer on September 30, 2025. The incident occurred at the height of the infamous months-long anti-ICE occupation.

Vogel was captured on surevillance video dumping red paint all over the ICE driveway and on the sidewalk in front of the facility. When federal officers mobilized out of the gates to arrest Vogel for property damage, she resisted arrest and punched one of the officers in the face with a closed fist, according to the complaint.

The officer was not injured, according to court documents.

Vogel, who is the ex-girlfriend of Luis Enrique Marquez, a former Portland Antifa ringleader, was initially charged in September 2025 with the felony offense of assault on a law enforcement officer. A June 2026 superceding indictment charged Vogel with interfering with a federal law enforcement officer and failing to obey a lawful order, court records show.

The US Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon offered Vogel a plea deal. Under the plea agreement, Vogel was allowed to plead guilty to interfering with federal law enforcement in exchange for the dismissal of failing to obey a lawful order. Both the prosecution and defense agreed with the one year probation penalty. Vogel does not have a prior criminal record.

Vogel has been involved with Rose City Antifa for nearly a decade. She often arrived outside the ICE facility alongside the far-left faction of “indigenous” demonstrators, who are aligned with anarchist groups. Vogel is currently in a romantic relationship with Chad Skjei, a fellow Portland Antifa-affiliated rioter who has faced his own legal woes for protest involvement.

Demonstrators carried out several attacks on the night of Vogel’s arrest, including against The Post Millennial reporter Katie Daviscourt, who was struck with a metal flag pole in the face. Portland Police has not yet made an arrest, despite being notified of the subject’s identity.

The direct action occurred just days after President Donald Trump ordered the National Guard to be deployed to quell the violent siege of the ICE facility. Hundreds of federal law enforcement officers, including from ICE, Border Patrol, the Bureau of Prisons, and the Federal Protective Service (FPS), were deployed to assist with the riots. Federal officers made numerous arrests that night.

Anti-ICE rioters carried out criminal acts of violence for months during the occupation. Demonstrators had erected an encampment equipped with tents, food, shelter, and medical and riot supplies. Portland Police had also abandoned the zone due to “sanctuary policies,” leaving federal law enforcement officers to fend for themselves.

More than 40 demonstrators, including those involved with the terrorist organization Antifa, have been charged with federal offenses committed at the ICE facility since June 2025. This includes arson attacks, assault on federal officers with dangerous weapons, property damage, etc. Several of them have been convicted and sentenced to jail. Prosecutions remain ongoing.
