Nikki Haley ridiculed when her post-Iowa caucus math fails to add up
Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley came to her own defense after her head-scratching assessment of the Iowa caucus results.
Final tallies showed the former United Nations ambassador placing third behind Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, both left in the dust by former President Donald Trump who pulled 51 percent of the vote.
But Haley’s comments after the caucus left many convinced that her math skills were lacking.
“At one point in this campaign, there were 14 of us running. I was at 2 percent in the polls. But tonight, Iowa did what Iowa always does so well,” Haley told supporters.
“The pundits will analyze the results from every angle. We get that. But when you look at how we’re doing in New Hampshire, in South Carolina, and beyond, I can safely say tonight, Iowa made this Republican primary a two-person race!” she added.

Naturally, the former South Carolina governor’s math-challenged statement sparked mockery online.
Haley responded in an interview on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday.
“Last night, you came in third. You got roughly 21,000-plus votes, 19%. Ron DeSantis got 21% of the vote. Why do you think it is a two-person race?” host Brian Kilmeade asked.
“First of all, look at where we started: I mean, when we started, there were 14 people in the race. We had 2 percent in the polls, and we came out with a strong showing. That’s what we wanted in Iowa,” the GOP hopeful replied.
“Now, we’re in New Hampshire. You can look at the polls in New Hampshire, we’re a stone’s throw away from Donald Trump. And so, we’re going to continue to work really hard,” she added.
But Haley’s initial remarks about the two-person race still reverberated on X, where social media users continued to marvel at the candidate’s questionable calculations.
Nikki 2+2 = 5 (Orwellian globalist anybody?)

Modern math…

Yeah, it’s a two person race on who should concede first and drop out.

She wasn’t lying. She’s just not one of those two people.

It’s a tell. What she means is, “We’re going to take Trump out, and it’s between DeSantis & I.”

She said the quiet thing out loud. Vivek is right, the deep state will do whatever they need to do to make sure Trump is not on the ballot in November. I’m worried about Trump’s safety. Pray for him and our country.
