Minnesota Democrat Peggy Flanagan Championed Abortions Up to Birth
Today I’m writing about Minnesota, my home state so I am emotionally invested in what happens there in three weeks. Let’s start with an overview of the 2026 Senate races and what we know.
We know that you could use any idiom you chose—razor-thin is the preferred term—and know that you could be describing any of a number of Senate races. The margins range from 1 point to three points.
We know that the “blue tsunami” is a wish by pro-abortion Democrats and their legion of supporters in the Legacy Media which is intended to depress our turnout. I have offered, and continue to offer, evidence that our candidates are badly underestimated.
We know that we owe it to the little ones to vote!

Yesterday I wrote about Michigan where Republican Mike Rogers is squaring off against Democrat Abdul El-Sayed.
Margin? 1-2 points, advantage El-Sayed.
Today, I’m examining the contest between Republican Michele Tafoya and Democrat Peggy Flanagan. Flanagan is scandal-ridden Tim Walz’s Lt. Governor.
Margin? 2-3 points, advantage Flanagan. By the way, Tafoya’s campaign ads are spectacular.
What are the dominant themes?
First and foremost, by any definition, Flanagan qualified as an extremist on abortion. According to Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL), she “compiled a zero percent pro-life voting record during a stint in the Minnesota House.” As lieutenant governor, she “championed the PRO Act– Protect Reproductive Options Act”—which was “signed by Walz, which established abortion-up-to-birth in Minnesota law.”
What impact would Flanagan have if elected to the Senate, especially if her fellow abortion zealots control the Senate? It’s potentially awful. MCCL tells us they would
pass the so-called “Women’s Health Protection Act,” which would impose a policy of virtually unlimited abortion nationwide. She also wants to repeal the pro-life Hyde Amendment—a move that would force federal taxpayer dollars to fund elective abortions
Tafoya’s answers to MCCL’s questionnaire tell Minnesotans that while not fully pro-life, she has embraced a position more protective of life. In addition to opposing sweeping pro-abortion legislation, Tafoya
supports the pro-life Hyde Amendment and opposes taxpayer funding of abortion. She also says she’d vote against bills like the proabortion “Women’s Health Protection Act” that would prevent states from protecting unborn babies. In addition, Tafoya has pledged to support protection for newborns who survive abortion and to oppose assisted suicide.
Minnesota’s legislature is in the grasp of pro-abortion Democrats but, fortunately, only by the slimmest of slim margins. Democrats also control the governor’s office which, like the entire legislature and the U.S. Senate seat, will be on the ballot in three weeks.
Minnesota is in the midst of a stupendous number of scandals and an epidemic of gang violence which have taken root since Democrats assumed complete control.
Even though my wife and I are 1,200 miles away from our home state and have been gone for decades, we are praying Minnesotans will see the light in 21 days.
