Maura Healey’s Bishop Should Deny Her Communion for Legalizing Abortions Up to Birth
This week, Maura Healey, the governor of Massachusetts, signed a law removing any constraints on abortion and added strong legal protections for the killers. At the signing, she and several other ghoulish women were absolutely gleeful.
Maura Healey claims to be Catholic, yet she has a history of supporting every issue of grave moral evil that the Church opposes. In lieu of correction, she was invited to the Vatican in 2024 to meet with Pope Francis. She then gave the keynote address at a “climate summit.”
The bishops in Massachusetts did issue a joint statement calling the abortion law “a grave offense against the sanctity and dignity of every person.” But in all honesty, so what?
This is yet another in an endless litany of “strongly worded statements.”

Truthfully, too many of the bishops don’t care about taking more of a stand. In our day and age, we are so far removed from the courage and inspiration exhibited by the men who founded, built, sacrificed, died, and shepherded the Church and her faithful that it’s an insult to even compare them. We see two different belief systems.
A strongly worded statement. Another semi-impactful letter in the bulletin. Perhaps an amen, halleluiah press release. All are the actions of weak men or complicit allies of the darkness. Either way, it’s just the way it is with many of the “princes of the Church.”
In a world of wolves, many of the shepherds despise the sheep.
What happened to caring for and protecting those you love at any and all costs? For the good of their own souls, this must include the hypocrites and the sacrilegious “Catholics” openly spitting in the face of Christ.
That takes courage and strong men, and those men are rare.
In 2026, Catholics can openly support, embrace, and advocate for the beheading of babies, the sexual mutilation of boys and girls, the destruction of the family, and homosexual “marriage.” Not only that, but they can even work to enshrine these evils into state constitutions and state and national laws with no fear of correction or consequence. Most of the shepherds just don’t care.
But you can be sure you will get 76 notices about the bishop’s Lenten appeal or his capital campaign.
Priorities.
As I’ve written way too many times before, the only answer is to pray that God raises up better men in the next generation and pray that the Lord edifies and builds up those bishops—like Bishop Paprocki, Archbishop Cordileone, and others—who have shown incredible courage.
If you would like to take action, email Archbishop Richard G. Henning of the Archdiocese of Boston at [email protected] and implore him to deny Maura Healey the Eucharist, to publicly rebuke her, and to excommunicate her if she refuses to immediately and publicly repent of her actions and work to amend this evil. What is he waiting for?
In an hour of wolves, we need shepherds of strength.
