JUST IN: Ilhan Omar Saga Takes New Turn After Federal Raid
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro confirmed Tuesday that her office is examining the financial disclosures of U.s. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). The announcement, made during an appearance on Fox News, followed by one day a search of Omar’s Washington, D.C., residence by federal agents as part of a separate ongoing criminal investigation.
On October 12, agents from Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant at the residence. The Department of Justice confirmed that the action was part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation.
Individuals familiar with the matter indicated that the inquiry centers on Omar’s immigration paperwork, which her father completed when she was a child after the family arrived in the United States as refugees.
Omar has denied allegations of immigration-related fraud or other wrongdoing. In a public statement after the search, she described the action as an attempt to target political opponents and weaponize federal law enforcement.

According to a report from Axios, Pirro’s office is reviewing Omar’s annual financial disclosure reports required of members of Congress. Those reports list asset values in ranges rather than exact amounts. Disclosures covering 2023 listed businesses associated with Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, with combined reported values ranging from approximately $15,000 to $51,000.
The 2024 disclosure listed substantially higher ranges, however. This includes eStCru LLC, a California-based winery, which was reported between $1 million and $5 million, while Rose Lake Capital LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based venture capital firm, was reported between $5 million and $25 million. Together, the businesses accounted for reported values between $6 million and $30 million.
This past April, Omar filed an amended disclosure reducing the couple’s combined reported assets to a range of $18,004 to $95,000. Her office stated that the original filing reflected an accounting error that listed asset values without accounting for associated liabilities, and that the amended report more accurately reflects their financial position.
Earlier in 2026, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) requested financial records related to the two companies, citing the change in reported valuations. In September 2026, the Office of Congressional Conduct voted 5-1 to recommend that the House Ethics Committee dismiss allegations that Omar had reported false or incomplete information, concluding there was not substantial reason to believe she had violated federal law or House rules.
As of this report, it is not believed that Monday’s raid was linked to Pirro’s investigation.
