Gossip Girl’s Kelly Rutherford Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance With Son Hermès, 20, After Custody Battle

The Gossip Girl alum was joined by the 20-year-old, who she shares with ex-husband Daniel Giersch, at the Oct. 28 premiere of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping in London.

For the red carpet occasion, Kelly channeled Upper East Side glam in a metallic silver dress with oversized sleeves and a pleated skirt from Karen Millen. She completed the luxe look with matching heels and handbag.

Meanwhile, Hermés looked equally polished in an olive green turtleneck, black trousers and a long, checkered tweed coat by Burberry.

The rare family outing comes more than a decade after Kelly’s transatlantic custody battle over Hermés and his younger sister Helena Grace Giersch, now 17. According to the actress, she spent “every penny from Gossip Girl” on the legal proceedings, which ultimately ended in 2015 when a Monaco court ruled that the kids would remain with their dad in Europe after Daniel’s U.S. visa was revoked.
