Elon Musk Tells J.K Rowling to Stop Focusing on Trans Issues and Post 'Positive' Content Instead

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has suggested that J.K. Rowling should stop focusing on transgender issues and instead write more “interesting and positive content.”

In a lengthy post on X, Musk wrote:

“While I heartily agree with your points regarding sex/gender, may I suggest also posting interesting and positive content on other matters?”

While Rowling’s post was from April 6, Musk only recently commented on it.

In a later X post, the author addressed Musk’s comment.

Sharing an article about her writing process, the author said:

“Just realised that I missed being advised to share more positive content yesterday … sharing this about my writing life, which happens to have been published today in The Sunday Times, should in no way be interpreted as me doing as I’m told.”

“I need to be reminded of this myself from time to time,” Musk quipped in response to the post.

Musk also made controversial comments on transgender issues last year, vowing to “actively lobbying to criminalize making severe, irreversible changes to children below the age of consent.”

Musk has a daughter who is transgender.

In 2023, she successfully petitioned a court to change her family name, telling a judge that she no longer wished to be related to her father “in any way, shape or form.”

Rowling came under fire numerous times for her comments on transgender issues.

Actors who appeared in the “Harry Potter” films, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Eddie Redmayne, came out against Rowling’s remarks.
