Chinese Security Firms Expand Globally: What’s the Risk?

Could we see a Chinese version of Russia’s Wagner group? Similar to the Russian private military company, China is expanding its private security industry. Deploying contractors abroad to safeguard Chinese interests, these firms, often linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), are discreetly increasing their global presence. This poses a potential national security threat as these entities can serve as coercive tools of CCP foreign policy.
