BREAKING: Mr Beast earns over $250,000 on first X video
Jimmy Donaldson, better known by his YouTube channel name Mr Beast, revealed on Monday that his first video released on X made over $250,000.
“But it’s a bit of a facade,” Mr Beast conceded. “Advertisers saw the attention it was getting and bought ads on my video (I think) and thus my revenue per view is prob higher than what you’d experience.”
The screenshot posted by Mr Beast revealed that the video posted, in which he compares cars of differing price points, the most expensive of which is $100 million, received over 156 million impressions, and over 5 million engagements. The video, which was posted to YouTube in September and received over 215 million views on the platform, was a “test” post, as Mr Beast was “curious how much ad revenue a video on X would make.”
Mr Beast posted that he would be giving 10 random people who reposted one of his posts $25,000, equaling the roughly $250,000 the video made.
Musk had an exchange with Mr Beast on X recently in which he suggested that the popular channel come over to X. “My videos cost millions to make and even if they got a billion views on X it wouldn’t fund a fraction of it :/ I’m down though to test stuff once monetization is really cranking!” Mr Beast said in reply.
Mr Beast has 25.5 million followers on X, and is one of the most subscribed to channels on Youtube, with 233 million subscribers.
