Anthony Fauci, MD, Lynn R. Webster, MD & US Senator Richard Blumenthal – A Brotherhood Of Three! – The Washington Standard
With the recent Senate hearing initiated by US Senator Rand Paul on the culpability of Anthony Fauci involving fear mongering during the COVID pandemic, I was not surprised to see two individuals condone Fauci invoking the Fifth Amendment over 110 times.
I will begin with the very controversial Lynn R. Webster, MD, whom I have written about over the years and also had the misfortune of confronting at an FDA hearing.
This is what Webster recently put out in support of his ally in unaccountable crime:

In 2013, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) launched an investigation of then-president-elect of the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) Lynn R. Webster, MD, related to overdose deaths at Webster’s Lifetree Pain Clinic in Salt Lake City.

It was alleged there were up to 100 deaths at Webster’s clinic, which was raided by the DEA.
Webster attributed the deaths to “suicide,” and the pain clinic closed its doors. The U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah declined to pursue charges, effectively ending the DEA investigation. The late US Senator Orrin Hatch (Utah) was rumored to be the force behind charges being dropped against Webster.
There were personal injury cases settled against Webster by family members of the dead victims at his pain clinic.
He was able to retain his medical license, but his ability to prescribe opioids was revoked. Webster reinvented himself and is now involved in research on opioids, including being an advisor to the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and a “champion” for physicians and corporations coming under investigation by the DEA.
Hatch sealed the U.S. Finance Committee investigation report launched in 2012, which named Lynn R. Webster, MD and the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) as worthy of scrutiny. US Senator Richard Blumenthal (Democrat-CT) recently issued the following statement in defense of Fauci:
“Unfortunately, and really sadly, I think Chairman Paul has this obsession, which he’s demonstrated over the last five years. Dr. Fauci has an extraordinarily distinguished record in public health, leading Americans through HIV, swine flu, SARS, Zika, Ebola and other epidemics. And I think it is part of a bias against scientists, public health officials, professionals who help to lead us like he has. And it is really so regrettable for the country because we need these courageous people who go into areas where there are dangerous epidemics and try to eradicate them or at least stop them. And so I think it is part of a bias against science…”
In 2002, when my daughter, Jill, was killed by Purdue Pharma’s dangerous opioid, OxyContin, as a result of being prescribed it for back pain, I began my crusade to expose Purdue Pharma and the FDA for their part in addicting and killing hundreds of thousands of victims. It was at that time I connected with Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, and for approximately six years we emailed, met, and talked by phone on a regular basis in an effort to hold Purdue Pharma responsible for addictions and deaths. In addition, he connected me with his Assistant Attorney General and we worked together.
Blumenthal even insisted I call him “Dick.”
I was quite elated when “Dick” announced he was going to run for the US Senate. He won the election and — no more emails — no more phone calls — no more meetings with his staff and no more contact with this Assistant AG. He reached his goal of becoming a US Senator.
The brotherhood of Webster and Blumenthal defending Fauci, as disturbing as it is — makes perfect sense to those questioning their support of Fauci.
