After Weeks of Socialist Gains, Trump Warns ‘The Communists Are Finally Making Their Move’

0

Thursday night, Trump posted on Truth Social: “The Communists are finally making their move. I’ve been waiting and preparing for this for a long time.”

He didn’t name a specific event. He didn’t have to.

Tuesday night in New York, DSA-backed candidates swept three targeted congressional races. Darializa Avila Chevalier beat five-term incumbent Adriano Espaillat in NY-13. Chevalier once posted that she wiped her hand on an American flag. She helped launch Columbia University Apartheid Divest in 2016, the group that later wrote, “We are Westerners fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization.” Brad Lander, endorsed by Socialist Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani, knocked off Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY). Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) showed up to give a congratulatory speech at the victory party. They booed him. Chanted “you’re next.”

Jeffries’ uncle, Lionel Jeffries, taught at CUNY until he was fired for bigoted remarks about whites and Jews. Hakeem defended him in the student paper and invited him to speak on campus. The students whom those professors trained are now trying to remove Hakeem from office.

Chevalier still believes all deportations are wrong. Even if someone committed murder. She said so in a debate with the incumbent she just beat. When Ali Velshi asked whether she’s a communist, she said: “That framing is one that I’ve been very proud to be able to say I don’t respond to.” Kept going for two more paragraphs. Never answered.

The Downfall of America’s Cities: How the Great Sorting Leads to Socialism

Socialism Is Starting to Feel a Lot Like Terrorism

Forty-six percent of Democrats view socialism favorably, per a May I&I/TIPP poll. Among voters 18 to 24, it’s 44 percent. Among Republicans, one in four view it favorably too, though 58 percent don’t. Ward Clark’s read on why New York got here: The productive class has left. Business owners, entrepreneurs, and the people who actually employ people. They’ve been leaving for Florida and Texas for years, driven out by taxes, regulations, and real estate prices. Who’s left to vote? The dependency class, and the rich who can afford not to care.

Forty-two percent of NYC residents are on Medicaid. One in five on food stamps. One in three in rent-stabilized apartments. One in twenty in public housing. NYC’s government budget is larger than Florida’s. New York State’s budget is larger than Texas and Florida combined. The DSA is now running against the establishment as the “true socialists” who will fix all that. With more socialism.

Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI-12), an elected member of Congress, called the sentencing of the Antifa shooter who put a bullet in a police officer’s neck a “travesty.” Said it was Trump clinging to power through “brute force.”

Clark’s closing line was simpler: Socialism and communism “never end well.” Equal distribution of misery, except for the ruling class, which always lands on its feet.

The Soviet Union ran that experiment. So did Cuba. North Korea is still running it. New York just elected three people who think the problem was the execution, not the idea.

Editor’s Note: New York City is now facing the consequences of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s socialist takeover.
