FBI Inventory Lists Classified Epstein Files
FBI records list classified Epstein material delivered to Todd Blanche’s office, including two CDs, despite his assurance that DOJ withheld nothing on national-security grounds.
The FBI’s own inventory lists classified material among the Epstein records—including two CDs delivered to Todd Blanche’s office.
ZeroHedge reported the entries challenge Blanche’s assurances about national-security secrets in the files.
“There’s not some tranche of super-secret documents about Jeffrey Epstein that we’re withholding,” Blanche said when DOJ began releasing the files last winter.
A March 25, 2025, list recorded delivery of 16 Epstein items to the Office of the Deputy Attorney General, which Blanche then headed. It included “Epstein Transparency Project – Classified Material” and “CDs with classified materials (x2),” according to CBS News’ examination of the released records.
The inventory also references a sheet with page counts and red lines identifying classified material.
CBS found another record: a March 25 email from the FBI’s National Security Classification Operations Unit chief describing three documents that “remain classified.” The attachment’s title was “Epstein – Classified Document Memo.docx.”
Blanche, now attorney general, had said DOJ withheld or redacted no files on national-security or foreign-policy grounds.
CBS reported that DOJ did not answer its recent inquiries. The cited records do not reveal the classified contents or establish whether officials later declassified or released them.
