‘GOOD AS NEW’: Charlie Kirk statue at TPUSA HQ restored after senseless act of vandalism

One year after his brutal murder, a statue of Charlie Kirk was erected at the headquarters of Turning Point USA, which Kirk founded. The work from Quintin McCann was unveiled on the one year anniversary of his death and over the weekend it was vandalized with red paint to look like the blood Kirk lost when he was shot in the neck.
It wasn’t long before the TPUSA team cleaned it up and restored it to its glory. “The team rallied and got the statue back looking good as new,” said Andrew Kolvet, Kirk’s long time friend and former producer. “Evil may never sleep, but neither do we. We won’t stop. We will win. They will lose.”
A TPUSA billboard was also vandalized with the word “Jesus” crossed out and replaced with “Satan.” Kirk’s legacy has been under fire in the year since he was murdered, with leftists reveling in his death while conservatives have mourned the loss of both the man and the leader of his mission.
After the statue was vandalized, widow Erika Kirk said “Every attempt to tear down what Charlie built makes us root deeper and work even harder.”
The vandalism, said Tyler Bowyer of Turning Point Action, the political arm of the project, said “I am here now— God Bless the Police as they investigate the violent thugs who did this. We are ready to clean as soon as they release the scene. I hope this is a wake up call for conservatives. If Arizona becomes California like this, we lose America.”
On Thursday, another statue of Kirk was unveiled, this time in New York City’s Times Square. While the statue was praised by supporters, leftist activists showed up to protest the work, though it would not be permanently displayed in New York and was simply being shown by the artist.
Kirk was murdered on September 10, 2025 on the campus of Utah Valley University, where he had been speaking to students and those gathered for his college tour. Within days, a suspected assassin was caught and has been in custody ever since.
A preliminary hearing was held in Utah County in July for prosecutors to establish probable cause. Judge Tony Graf heard the evidence and on September 1 announced in court that Tyler Robinson will be tried for the murder. If convicted, he could face the death penalty for his actions.
