Studies: Israel’s Marketing campaign to Seize Southern Lebanon Is Killing Christians. Carlson Requires Finish to Help.

Israel’s bombing campaign in Lebanon that seeks to conquer the southern part of the country is killing Christians, critics aver.

Former GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene accused Israel of murdering Christians, while investigative journalist Ben Swann noted that the region is home to the largest population of Christians in the Middle East, and that some of the holiest sites in Christendom are in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, in his podcast on Israel’s torpedoing U.S. President Donald Trump’s two-week ceasefire that was supposed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, Tucker Carlson said Israel is murdering Christians and called for ending aid to the American “ally.”

Christians Dying

Iran reclosed the strait yesterday after Israel began bombing the country, notably capital Beirut. The bombing undermined the ceasefire the Trump administration had negotiated with Iran. That included Lebanon, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wrote on X Wednesday night, though Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance claimed that Lebanon was not included.

Whatever the case, Israel began bombing as part of its Greater Israel Project, which seeks, at the least, to conquer Lebanon up to the Litani River, as Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said in March.

But the bombing isn’t killing just Hezbollah terrorists, critics say. Rather, Israel is blowing Christians and their holy sites to smithereens.

“Israel is killing many innocent people and children in Lebanon just as they did in Gaza, including Christians,” Greene wrote on X over Swann’s video:

But most Americans are silent.

When I introduced amendments last year, to strip Israel of U.S. taxpayer’s money, only 5 other members of congress voted with me.

She told podcaster Alex Jones that the Israel lobby controls Congress and the GOP, which must be “burned to the ground.”

Swann detailed the effect of Israel’s indiscriminate bombing.

“Lebanon has the largest Christian population that remains in the Middle East,” he said:

The areas in southern Lebanon that are being hit aren’t just Christian areas. They are so historically Christian. The wedding in Cana, where Jesus performs his very first miracle, where he turns water into wine, is in southern Lebanon. Where Simon Peter is laid to rest is in southern Lebanon. The Christian communities there are as old as Christianity itself, and these are the people who are being hit, these are the people that are being targeted.

Israel is not attempting to wipe out Hezbollah, as it claims, Swann said, but instead seizing southern Lebanon up to the Litani River.

He also noted that the American “war on terror” has decimated the Christian communities across the Middle East. “Lebanon almost feels to me like it’s one of the last steps in this process to eradicate Christianity from this region of the world,” Swann said:

And so just from a religious perspective, I think not only is it sad, and is it a horrific thing to watch happening, but also to know that it’s American evangelicals who are largely responsible for giving Israel the pass to do this.

About two million Christians, most of them Maronites, live in Lebanon, many of them in East Beirut

Carlson: End Aid to Israel

The site of the wedding at Cana is disputed, and St. Peter’s bones actually rest in the Vatican Necropolis directly under the altar at his basilica in Rome. Those quibbles aside, though, Carlson attacked Israel for its carpet bombing campaign. The bombing has undercut the ceasefire with Iran, he said.

Carlson said Israel’s goals differ from those of the United States, and more importantly, that the United States should have told Israel “to get on board” with the ceasefire because it’s a client state.

“[T]he first thing you would do if you were sitting down to come to terms with your opponent, this big country, Iran, that you haven’t been able to beat militarily, would be to tell Israel, ‘Hey, we’re suing for peace, we’re going to get this done, you knock it off,’” he said:

But the U.S. didn’t do that, this administration did not do that. In fact, apparently, according to the Israelis, they never even consulted Benjamin Netanyahu. They did not tell him that we were right on the cusp of ceasefire talks. Why? Because they were worried that he would do what he did with Operation Eternal Darkness, Operation Hell, and scuttle the whole thing by doing something crazy, like bombing apartment buildings in Beirut, Lebanon.

So apparently getting Israel under control so the United States could save its economy and the lives of its troops was not even on the table. Like the one thing we know we’re not going to do is tell the Israelis to behave.

Carlson said the American relationship with Israel “has resulted in a lot of dead Americans.”

”It’s time not to end it, not to set up an adversarial relationship, but to set up a healthy, conventional relationship where Israel can pay its own bills and fund its own military and act within the constraints imposed on it by its own economy and population,” he continued:

That’s what normal countries do. Most countries live with neighbors that don’t like them, with whom they have testy relationships, but they make accommodations because they have no choice. There’s no country in the world that acts with total impunity because it knows a much larger country will backstop it no matter what it does. That just doesn’t exist in the natural world because it’s not natural. It’s grotesque, and it’s terrible for the United States, and now it’s obvious.

Carlson called on Congress to change the relationship, but doing so requires dealing with the Israel lobby.
