WATCH: Infamous Ex-Republican Cries After Admitting He Gave His Children’ Inheritance To Biden Marketing campaign
Former Republican commentator and current Democratic Party candidate George Conway tearfully revealed that he donated his children’s inheritance to the Biden Campaign.
“I was asked by a friend of mine who raises money for Democrats to speak at a big Democratic fundraiser, for what was then the Biden Victory Fund. And I remember actually driving out to my friend John Gardner’s house in Maryland and thinking about how much should I give to the campaign, for this thing where I’m gonna be spokesperson and asking other people to give,” Conway recalled in a recent interview.
“And I thought I’d give a lot of money, but a reasonable amount of money. Then I started thinking about it. It’s like, you know, this is supposed to be money that my kids would otherwise inherit. So what am I gonna give? What do I want my kids to inherit?” he continued, emphasizing that he was deciding between his family’s future and the Joe Biden campaign.
“I was literally in tears. I pulled over on the side [of the road]. I was in tears thinking, ‘I want my kids… it makes me miss even more. I want my kids to inherit a democracy.’ It’s more important than money. And that’s why I’m gonna give the legal maximum, which was $929,600,” Conway declared.
“It’s just more important. That’s why I did that. That’s why I’m 62 years old. [I] thought I should be out in Park City skiing or something like that. I should be really retired. But I could never live with myself if I didn’t do everything that I could to help get rid of this,” he added, drawing tears from the interviewers.
George Conway fights back tears as he recalls how he decided to give nearly $1 million to Biden’s Victory Fund in 2024 — which would have otherwise gone to his children.
He says he started crying and had to pull his car over.

Conway, a frequent MSNBC contributor who was first referred to as a “conservative lawyer” when he began appearing on the network in 2019, is currently running in a crowded Democratic Party congressional primary field to replace the retiring Jerry Nadler in New York.
Nadler, one of the most senior members of the U.S. House, announced his retirement late last year. He currently represents the Empire State’s 12th Congressional District, an overwhelmingly blue district with a lean of D+33 on the Cook Partisan Voting Index.
Other notable candidates include Assembly Member Micah Lasher, Nadler’s expected endorsee who is seen as his heir apparent, Assembly Member Alex Bores, and Jack Schlossberg, grandson of former President John F. Kennedy. Additional contenders include gun control activist Cameron Kasky — a Parkland shooting survivor who famously told Marco Rubio that he can’t help but see him “shooting my classmates” — civil rights lawyer Laura Dunn, journalist Jami Floyd, and several others.
