Last month, CBS Miami reported that some people are stealing the coconuts from trees on residential properties.

“We feel disrespected and violated”, said a resident in Hollywood, FL.

Coconuts have been stolen even from her 20-foot high coconut tree on her front yard.

Another neighbor saw a man with a cherry picker truck.

Neighbors are now watching out for neighbors to… protect the coconuts.
