The Ethical Case for a Complete Jewish Exodus from X – JP
It is rare that a historian gets to watch a library burn in real-time and call it progress, but when the library is the digital equivalent of Der Stürmer, the only moral response is to let it burn.
For two years, X has undergone a grotesque metamorphosis, shedding its skin as a “global town square” to reveal a skeleton that looks remarkably like an hyper-antisemitic 8chan.
As Nazism and/or medieval Jew-Hate now comprise 70% of X, it is time for Jews to stop providing fuel for their own funeral pyre. The most insidious aspect of today’s X is that Jews have become a spectacle, or an attraction. Functioning as a commodity used to juice the algorithm. No matter the topic, geopolitics, history, or a simple holiday greeting, Jewish and Non-Jewish accounts are systematically flooded.
The Algorithm marks which account owners are actually Jewish, and feeds them to the crowd. In other cases – the bots do the rest.
By participating, jews are the involuntary “main characters” in a digital pogrom that rewards their own demise.
We don’t go to 4chan to “fight the narrative” because we recognize it as a sewer. Why do we treat X differently simply because it has a sleeker UI?.
Some argue jews must stay to “fight the narrative” or prevent a “vacuum of information.” That’s a basic strategic error. As long as jewish leaders remain, the platform retains the veneer of a respectable social network.
Did jews “participate” in the Inquisition to ensure their side of the story was heard? Did we seek “equal time” in the pages of Nazi tabloids?
If the jews leave, the “attraction” vanishes, the platform loses its status as a relevant cultural hub and reverts to what it actually is: a niche echo chamber for pakistani-bots and white incels.
When we respond to a neo-Nazi to “debunk” a lie, we aren’t winning a debate; we are helping the Nazi get paid. There’s no point to publish your philosemetic post on Der Stürmer.
We recognized Der Stürmer for what it was – a system designed to erase us.
When a platform’s owner is silent, and regularly boosts “white-race” grevances and dog-whistles to the most virulent antisemites on the planet, the debate is over. You cannot “civilize” a lynch mob by joining it. The only way to deny legitimacy to a “Digital Der Stürmer” is to leave it to rot.
Let the world know Jews do not join Neo-Nazi organizations, or X.
Numerically, you cannot win a war of attrition against bot-farms and state-sponsored trolls. But strategically, you can render the platform irrelevant – once the main attraction is nowhere to be found.
