BREAKING: Bill Clinton Testifies That Donald Trump Was Not Concerned With Jeffrey Epstein
Former President Bill Clinton faced a high-stakes closed-door deposition Friday before the House Oversight Committee, but it was a comment about President Donald Trump that quickly drew attention.
According to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-(KY), Clinton made clear that Trump had never given him any reason to believe he was involved in wrongdoing connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Comer told reporters Friday afternoon, “The president [Bill Clinton] went on to say that President Trump, has never said anything to me to make me think he was involved and he meant with Epstein.”
Comer added, “So just, I know there’s a lot of curiosity about President Trump. I thought that was an interesting thing that President Clinton said.”
The testimony took place at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center in Westchester County, near the Clintons’ longtime home in New York. The deposition began at 11 a.m. and followed months of negotiations between committee lawyers and Clinton’s legal team. Republicans had previously warned of potential contempt proceedings before Clinton ultimately agreed to appear.

The former president’s deposition came one day after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also sat for a lengthy closed-door interview with lawmakers.
Chairman Comer has repeatedly stated that neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton is currently accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein. However, Republicans say they are seeking clarity on Epstein’s network and the powerful individuals who associated with him over the years.
Epstein, who died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, maintained relationships with numerous high-profile political and business figures. Clinton has acknowledged taking multiple trips on Epstein’s private jet in the early 2000s but has denied any knowledge of or involvement in criminal conduct.
President Trump, for his part, has also faced years of questions due to past social interactions with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s. Trump has consistently said he cut ties with Epstein long before the financier’s 2008 conviction and has denied any wrongdoing.
Clinton’s remark, as described by Comer, is likely to fuel debate over the scope and direction of the Oversight Committee’s investigation. While Democrats have sought to broaden scrutiny, Republicans have focused on obtaining sworn testimony from those who had documented ties to Epstein.
Comer concluded his remarks by turning the floor over to Democrats. “I’ll let the Democrats have the podium and they can answer your questions,” he said.
With both Clintons now deposed, lawmakers are expected to continue reviewing testimony and documents as part of the ongoing probe into Epstein’s network and any potential institutional failures that allowed his crimes to persist for years.
