Activist trainer who claimed Republicans are pedophiles charged with youngster molestation in WA
The leftist teacher used the screen name “AuthorityFigure” and referenced teaching when luring someone identified as an 11-year-old girl on an app.
A leftist activist who regularly refers to Republicans and supporters of President Donald Trump as pedophiles is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after authorities say he spent months communicating with someone he believed was an 11-year-old girl and then traveled to Bremerton, Washington, to meet her for sex.
Kitsap County prosecutors charged Houston Curry Wade, 44, a former part-time faculty member teaching Physics and Astronomy at Edmonds College, with Attempted Child Molestation in the First Degree and Communication With a Minor for Immoral Purposes. According to the Lynnwood Times, Wade is a well-known leftist activist with the online handle of “RockGod,” which he uses regularly to call Republicans and Trump supporters “Pedophiles.”
According to court documents obtained by The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI, on Nov. 3, 2025, an NCIS special agent contacted Bremerton police about an undercover operation involving online chats with a person who wanted to meet the agent’s undercover persona, described as an 11-year-old sixth-grade girl.
The initial contact began Aug. 29, 2025, on an app called “Hush,” where the user, allegedly Wade, used the screen name “AuthorityFigure” and referenced teaching. The undercover persona later moved the conversation to Kik, where the user provided a handle and continued communicating regularly for roughly 110 days. The narrative describes what detectives characterized as “grooming,” including compliments about the supposed child’s appearance and messages that became increasingly sexual.
Investigators say the pair agreed to meet once earlier in December, but the meeting was rescheduled for Dec. 17 at East Park in Bremerton, near the skatepark, during the 5–6 pm hour. Police wrote they surveilled Wade as he left his Bainbridge Island area residence around 3:11 pm and stopped at a Silverdale hotel, where he entered carrying a backpack and later left without it. After he was detained, officers found he had two room keys to the same room, and a search warrant was obtained for the hotel room.
According to the report, the hotel room contained numerous items consistent with the sexual acts discussed in messages, including condoms, lubricants, sex toys, and bondage items. After leaving the hotel, police say Wade drove to the skatepark area, arrived around 5:25 pm, and directed the undercover persona by text to meet him near where he was parked. Officers arrested him “without incident,” according to the narrative.
The probable-cause statement says Wade waived his Miranda rights initially but “feigned ignorance,” claiming he was lost while trying to go to a restaurant the detective noted had closed in 2024. The report alleges surveillance showed he went directly to the area and waited. After additional questioning, Wade requested an attorney, police wrote.
Wade is in custody at the Kitsap County Jail on a $750,000 bond. If convicted, Wade faces life in prison.
