Twelve passengers and crew were injured on a Qatar Airways flight after a packed Boeing passenger jet plunged mid-flight.

Eight passengers aboard a commercial Boeing Dreamliner jet required hospital treatment upon landing in Ireland on Sunday.

The aircraft had reportedly suffered turbulence en route from Qatar, according to official statements.

“Qatar Airways can confirm that flight QR017 a Boeing B787-9 from Doha to Dublin has landed safely,” Qatar Airways stated in a post on X.

“A small number of passengers and crew sustained minor injuries in flight and are now receiving medical attention.”

The jet was on its way from Doha to Dublin when it began shaking as it flew over Turkey.

Airport authorities confirmed that the jetliner landed on schedule just before 1:00 p.m. at Dublin Airport.

“Upon landing, the aircraft was met by emergency services, including Airport Police and our Fire and Rescue department, due to 6 passengers and 6 crew [12 total] on board reporting injuries after the aircraft experienced turbulence while airborne over Turkey,” they said in a statement.

Airport management later revealed in an update that eight people were hospitalized while the other four only suffered minor injuries.

The incident reportedly did not interrupt the airport’s other flight operations for the day.

“The matter is now subject to an internal investigation,” Qatar Airways added in its statement.

“The safety and security of our passengers and crew are our top priority.”

The incident occurred just days after the deadly Singapore Airlines flight.

As Slay News reported, Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight SQ321 — a Boeing 777-300ER — encountered turbulence while flying from London to Singapore on May 21 and diverted to Bangkok, Thailand.

One passenger died and several were injured.

SIA said 131 passengers and 12 crew members later progressed to Singapore via a relief flight, while 79 passengers and six crew members — including the injured and their loved ones on the flight — remained behind in Bangkok.

An investigation is underway, with the SIA’s full cooperation, SIA added.

As of Monday, 52 passengers were still in Bangkok, with 34 still receiving treatment, according to the SIA.

Meanwhile, Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration is attempting to blame “climate change” for airplane turbulence.

During an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Biden’s Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg blamed turbulence on “the effects of climate change.“

“The reality is the effects of climate change are already upon us in terms of our transportation,” Buttigieg alleged.

“We’ve seen that in the form of everything from heat waves that shouldn’t statistically even be possible, threatening to melt the cables of transit systems in the Pacific Northwest, to hurricane seasons becoming more and more extreme, and indications that turbulence is up by about 15%.”

Retired U.S. Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Tony Shaffer blasted Buttigieg over his false claim, saying:

“As an actual credentialed expert on climate ([Wright State University] 86 BA in Environmental Studies) I can state with 100% certainty that turbulence is not caused by ‘climate change’ & that Pete Buttigieg is a Marxist moron…”
