Young Turks Host: Hurricane Helene Is God's Punishment for Red States Outlawing Abortion

0

Young Turks Founder and CEO Cenk Uygur refused to rise above political affiliation while discussing the Hurricane Helene disaster, suggesting that it is a punishment from God against states where abortion is outlawed.

Considering the death toll from Helene is over 200, Uygur’s comments are beyond disgusting and cruel.

Never again can this man take the moral high ground with anything in the future. How can someone not rise above their political ideology to see the human suffering experience by those affected by the floods?

Clearly, Uygur doesn’t have that sort of empathy. In fact, he probably represents huges swaths of the left who probably think along the same lines as him.

Further, Uygur even used the Bible and misquoted scripture to back up his argument.

Uygur has misread the message from Numbers 5:11 – 31.

Rapper Bryson Gray quickly corrected Uygur’s interpretation of the passage.

There is no question, left has disdain for disaster victims if they don’t align with their political beliefs.

We saw this last week after the Biden-Harris administration announced it would distribute $750 to state residents whose lives were torn apart by the floods.

What an insult.

Uygur’s comments took a huge bashing on X:

“You are evil,” one wrote.

Another wrote:

The left is exposing itself more and more.

Last week, Former President Donald Trump raised over $2 million to help hurricane victims, while Biden said there wouldn’t be more resources coming and instead asked the public to donate.

The Trump campaign launched a GoFundMe page after the former president visited Georgia, where he toured hard-hit areas left in Helene’s wake.
