We wrote about the intense drone warfare being conducted in the Ukrainian theater of war, and described large-scale Iranian-designed Shaheed drone production inside the Russian Federation.

An Israeli airstrike last evening destroyed the Iranian drone factory in Isfahan.

The question is – with intense Iranian cooperation alongside the Kremlin a factor in geopolitics, how will the destruction of the Shaheed factory in Isfahan impact the Ukraine conflict?

The answer is Russia has likely on-boarded plenty of production capability in-country over the last decade.

The bigger issue is likely the loss of a robust Iranian military industrial capability to backstop Moscow’s hardware requirements if needed.

There is also the geopolitical PR value that a strong Iran brings to the stage to help Kremlin information operations.

That is now gone.
