Here is the thing about modern native apps — they are stubborn. Even when disabled at startup, many leave background “helper” processes running to check for updates or sync data, which lurk in the system tray and eat up resources. I kept these apps installed because I was led to believe that installing them was the best way to get the most out of Windows.
