Who Is Leaving Emily in Paris? The Cast Members Not Returning
Emily in Paris is getting ready to pick up cameras and start production for season 5, but some of the beloved cast members won’t be returning to fans’ television screens. Life & Style reveals which stars are leaving the Netflix series and won’t return for the fifth season.
Who Is Leaving ‘Emily in Paris’ Ahead of Season 5?
Camille Razat, who played Camille and Emily’s friend-turned-nemesis during the first four seasons of the show, will not return for season 5, multiple outlets reported.
Camille has yet to address her exit from the series.
Variety reported that Thalia Besson, who joined the season 4 cast as Geneviève, has yet to sign on for a season 5 return.
Who Is Returning to ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 5?
Lily Collins (Emily), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) and Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello) are reported to return to the series.
Although Lucas, who has been a part of the show since the beginning, is expected to return, he previously admitted that he was contemplating coming back.
“The ‘sexy chef’ was very much part of me in Season 1 and we grew apart season after season because of the choices he makes and because of the direction they make him take. I’ve never been so far away from him,” Lucas told IndieWire in October 2024. “In Season 1, there was a lot of me in him. But as they made him kind of unaware of his surroundings, of the dynamic, always victimizing and always being completely lost in translation and oblivious to anything that is happening around him and being manipulated by everyone, it kind of became not fun for me to shoot or to see a character I love so much and brought me so much, being slowly turned into guacamole. I really grew apart from him.”
Where Will ‘Emily In Paris’ Season 5 Be Filmed?
Production kicks off in Rome in May 2025 and will venture to Paris in the later half of filming.
What Happened During ‘Emily In Paris’ Season 4?
During season 4, Emily was caught in a love triangle between Alfie and Gabriel. Camille was once engaged to Gabriel, but ended things and called off the wedding when she discovered his yearning toward Emily.
“I think there’s something about the relationship between Gabriel and Emily that was a little surface-y,” Emily in Paris creator Darren Star shared with Netflix’s Tudum in September 2024. “They didn’t know each other that well. It was a little bit of a fantasy for both of them. I think this year, it gets a little bit more real in terms of who they are and taking off the rose-colored glasses about each other.”
Emily ended up in a relationship with Marcello at the end of season 4. She was also moving closer to him, after she was asked to relocate to Rome for her new role running the Agence Grateau’s Italian office.
That said, she found herself in yet another possible love triangle after Gabriel showed up at her new residence in Rome unannounced.
