White Lotus costars Aimee Lou Wood and Patrick Schwarzenegger joined forces in a new Venmo campaign that puts a fresh spin on Black Sheep’s iconic 90s hit “The Choice is Yours.”

In the ad, the song lyrics are fittingly swapped to “You Can Venmo This, You Can Venmo That” to highlight the app’s new features, including tap-to-pay, expanded rewards and seamless online checkout.

“Everybody I know uses Venmo. For splitting costs for dinners, concert tickets and vacations so I had to get Aimee Lou on board to make her life easier,” Patrick, 31, said of the mobile payment service.

“As an entrepreneur I’m really serious about my ‘rewards game,’ so it’s a win I can earn cash back when I pay with the Venmo Debit Card. I love a rewards hack.”
Aimee Lou, 31, echoed those sentiments, chiming in, “Hanging out with my lovely friend, Patrick, I quickly found out that Venmo is a go-to way for people in the States to send money to friends, but it’s so much more than that,” she shared.

“As an Aquarius, I tend to be quite clever with money, so I love that you can earn some serious cash back when you spend your balance with the Venmo Debit Card — that means another astrology reading for me!” she continued.

Patrick revealed their collaboration brought back fond memories during their time filming the show.

“I don’t know if this ever happened to you, Aimee — I sent it in our group text from White Lotus — but I have people that sent me money on Venmo during episodes of White Lotus,” he told People. “I sent it all back, don’t worry,” the actor quipped. “But I did. I got a lot of people that sent me money.”

As for Aimee Lou, she said it made her remember something far different, particularly how much money she spent on coconuts while in Thailand.

“It was chronic,” she said with a laugh. “I could not stop with the coconuts. I just absolutely loved them!”

“I was so hydrated,” she continued. “I think I was overly hydrated, actually.”

When they got the chance to work on a new project together, Patrick and Aimee Lou said they jumped at the opportunity.

“We immediately texted each other,” he proudly reflected. “We were both so excited to be able to work with Venmo, but also get to work with each other once again.”

Venmo users can now enjoy a smarter way to shop, save and spend. Those with a Venmo Debit Card have even more perks, including the chance to earn 15 percent cash back from Sephora, Walmart, Lyft, McDonald’s, and Walgreens by activating their offers in the app.

“Not only does Venmo deliver best-in-class peer-to-peer payment experiences, but we’re transforming from a payments app into a full-service commerce experience for users to spend their balance on everything, in-store and online,” Diego Scotti, EVP, General Manager — Consumer Group said in a statement amid the new rollout.

“Venmo users trust Venmo to move money, so we’re making it easier – and more rewarding – to spend and live their lives with an app that moves as fast as they do.”
