WATCH: Trump Responds After Biden Labels His Supporters As Human ‘Garbage’

Former President Donald Trump issued a live reaction after he was informed that President Biden had labeled all of his supporters as human “garbage” in an interview with CNN.

President Biden was speaking in reference to a joke about Puerto Rico made by insult comic Tony Hinchcliffe during Trump’s historic rally at Madison Square Garden over the weekend. “They’re good, decent, honorable people,” President Biden said of Puerto Ricans. “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.”

About an hour after the Biden’s comments aired on CNN, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) reported the news to former President Trump and thousands of his supporters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. “Well, I wasn’t going to say anything, but I have breaking news for you, Mr. President. You may not have heard this,” he said.

“Just moments ago, Joe Biden stated that our supporters are garbage,” the Florida senator continued, drawing boos from the crowd. “He’s talking about the Border Patrol. He’s talking about nurses. He’s talking about teachers, he’s talking about everyday Americans who love their country and want to dream big again and support you, Mr. President, and I hope their campaign is about to apologize for what Joe Biden just said. We are not garbage, we are patriots who love America, and thank you for running, Mr. President.”

Trump then returned to the podium as the crowd chanted “USA,” stating “that’s terrible” after a brief pause. “That’s what it says. So you have — remember Hillary? She said deplorable. And then she said irredeemable, right? But she said deplorable. That didn’t work out.”

The former president concluded that Biden’s comments were actually worse than those made by Hillary Clinton in 2016. “But he doesn’t know. You have to please forgive him. Please forgive him, for he not knoweth what he said,” Trump told the crowd.

The White House has been scrambling to claim that President Biden’s remarks were taken out of context, even though they were made in a taped interview.

“Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it,” Biden wrote in an X post as outrage over his statement mounted. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don’t reflect who we are as a nation.”

Biden’s comments have been condemned from political leaders in both parties, including Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. “Yeah, look, I had not heard that until now, Kaitlan, so I’m gonna kind of give you my fresh reaction to it,” the Democrat governor told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins after viewing the clip. “I would never insult the good people of Pennsylvania or any Americans, even if they chose to support a candidate a candidate uh… that i didn’t support.”

Several political analysts have conceded that President Biden’s comments overshadowed Kamala Harris’ “closing argument” rally in Washington D.C., where she portrayed herself as a “change” candidate who will cut down on division, but not before following Biden’s lead and labeling Trump as a “petty tyrant” and a “wannabe dictator.”

“Biden’s verbal gaffe (if that’s what it was) is an absolute nightmare for Harris campaign,” CNN’s Chris Cillizza wrote in an X post. “This is getting more attention than Harris’ closing argument speech.”
