WATCH: Far-Left Extremists, Islamists Cheer For Deaths Of U.S. Troopers In America’s Birthplace
A group of far-left extremists and supporters of Islamist groups cheered on the deaths of U.S. service members in the Iran conflict and threatened an on-the-ground reporter while gathering outside Philadelphia’s City Hall this past Thursday.
The gathering featured a mix of far-left anti-war activists and individuals expressing support for causes associated with Islamist militant groups. Demonstrators burned multiple American flags and waved Palestinian and Iranian flags while holding signs that read phrases such as “Amerikkka is the head of the snake” and “Right to resist, right to return.”
Video footage from the gathering, recorded by independent journalist Frank Scales of the local group Surge Philly, captured speeches that included explicit expressions of support for casualties among U.S. troops.
One speaker, who was dressed in a bright red hoodie and a full face covering, addressed the crowd through a bullhorn. “Until we have done everything in our power to bring the United States to its knees, let us not lose sight of the enemy. For every U.S. military base that crumbles, and for every U.S. soldier who returns home in a casket, we cheer!” the unidentified individual shouted.
The crowd responded with applause and cheers. That same speaker continued by praising several groups aligned against Israel and the United States, a number of which are designated as foreign terrorist organizations.
“Hamas, Hezbollah, Ansar Allah [the Houthis], and all the resistance forces – we celebrate these popular forces on the ground. They spend every waking moment in direct confrontation with Zionism, and they rely on a strong Iranian state to maintain their fighting capacity,” the man, who appeared to be in his early 20’s, could be heard shouting.
When asked about his comments by Scales, the speaker made similar insinuations of violence. “Do you hate America?” Scales asked, to which the speaker responded with, “May a Hamas rocket blow up your family’s home.”

The man was speaking in front of a banner belonging to the Philly Palestine Coalition, which describes it self as a “Philly-based alliance of Palestinian, Black & indigenous communities working to uplift Palestinian liberation.”
Additional sponsors included the Philadelphia branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Brandywine Peace Society and Indivisible, a Soros-backed group behind the nationwide “No Kings” protests.
