US Deploys B-52 Bomber Refuelers Towards Indian Ocean – JP

In a significant military maneuver signaling potential escalation in the Middle East, the United States Air Force has launched a tanker package from Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington state, positioning aerial refueling assets to support B-52H Stratofortress bombers crossing the Pacific Ocean.

According to open-source intelligence (OSINT) reports monitored today, the deployment includes two KC-135R Stratotankers and one KC-46A Pegasus tanker, which departed early this morning heading northwest. These assets are en route to facilitate mid-air refueling for the heavy bombers as they advance toward staging areas.

The B-52Hs are expected to position at Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia, a strategic U.S. base in the Indian Ocean approximately 2,500 miles from Iran. There, they are slated to rendezvous with two additional B-52 bombers that reportedly departed Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana overnight, under the cover of darkness.

This movement echoes previous U.S. strategic bomber operations during periods of regional instability, though the Pentagon has not issued an official statement confirming the deployment as of press time.
