Some more details have been reported regarding the victims in the shooting that occurred at a Dallas ICE facility on Wednesday.

Fox News reported that two law enforcement agents shared with them that three detainees were among those who were shot.

The suspect, who reportedly fired the shots from an adjacent building, later died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

At least three people were shot and one was killed in a shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, Fox News confirmed.

The shooting reportedly occurred as ICE officers were transferring detainees into the facility. The shooter died due to a self-inflicted wound, authorities say. The other shooting victims were detainees and no law enforcement officers were hurt in the incident.

High-ranking Dallas Police Department sources told Fox News the shooting occurred at roughly 6:30 a.m. local time. They say no law enforcement officers were injured, but that three detainees were shot and one was killed.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed there were “multiple fatalities.”

CNN reported more details on the shooting and the latest statements from authorities:

One person is dead and two others have been hospitalized with gunshot wounds after a shooting at an US Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas on Wednesday morning, Dallas police said on X. A suspect also is dead, police said.

“The preliminary investigation determined that a suspect opened fire at a government building from an adjacent building,” Dallas police said. “Two people were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim died at the scene. The suspect is deceased.”

At least two detainees were shot in the incident, according to two law enforcement officials with knowledge of the incident. A suspect is dead from a self-inflicted gun shot wound, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said on X.

“Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities,” Noem’s post read. The motive in the shooting is unknown, she said.

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons said on CNN earlier Wednesday three people were shot, all of whom were taken to a hospital. He did not specify who the three people were.
