The Trump administration, after months of shuttle diplomacy between Moscow, Saudi Arabia, and Washington, has expressed dismay over the lack of both sides willing to make a deal.

Trump’s primary nemesis in this process he declared was Ukraine, but POTUS has publicly called out the Kremlin as well.

The recent, “Vladimir, Stop!” from Trump is an example, after Moscow sent a large missile and drone attack into Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.

Zelenskiy continues to “ask for more and more, he holds no cards,” added Trump.

The Ukrainian leader is attempting to drum up support via threats, and describing scenarios where Moscow could attack Europe.

“Look at Belarus – this summer Russia is preparing something there, under the guise of military exercises. This is how its new attacks usually begin. But where this time? I don’t know. Ukraine? Lithuania? Poland? God forbid! But we all have to be ready. All our institutions are open to cooperation.”

“Russians are worried that their parade is in question. And rightly so, they are worried.” This reference was to the coming May 9 Victory Day Parade in Moscow, celebrating the end of the ‘Great Patriotic War’ as Russians describe it.

Moscow said this morning that a ceasefire must be negotiated with Washington, not Kyiv, and reiterated the crisis is complicated and will not be solved quickly.

Kiev wants by all means to disrupt the dialogue and escalate tensions against the background of the ceasefire announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the days of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Rodion Miroshnik, the Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for the crimes of the Kiev regime, said, reported Russian state news agency TASS.

The Trump administration continues to deny offensive military equipment into Ukraine.

Australia promised 49 retired M1A1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine in October 2024 but hasn’t delivered them yet.  The tanks remain in Australia due to the U.S. withholding re-export approval, a required step since the tanks are American-made, reported the Clash Report.
