Trump White House alerted to ‘blatant Christian persecution’ as liberals target MAGA artist, worshippers
“I’ve been in touch with senior White House officials, and they are watching what is unfolding with blatant Christian persecution in Canada.”
The Trump White House has been made aware of the “blatant Christian persecution in Canada” after a church was fined in Montreal for holding a worship service with a performance from Sean Feucht, a Christian artist and supporter of the US president.
On Friday, Feucht performed in a private church in Montreal after city officials attempted to cancel the event, citing that he did not have a permit to perform. Montreal Mayor Valerie Plante has greenlit a $2,500 fine against the private Ministerios Restauracion Church in Montreal.
After the incident had gone viral, Feucht said on X, “I’ve been in touch with senior White House officials, and they are watching what is unfolding with blatant Christian persecution in Canada. We’re keeping all receipts too.” Multiple left-wing run cities have now pulled permits for his tour performances.
Feucht later reposted a picture of himself with Trump and staffers, where the president was seen observing Feucht’s guitar.
After the fallout from the performance of Feucht in the Montreal church, a petition was launched in an effort to allow Feucht and other Christians to worship, as other cities have been denying permits. The petition has surpassed 11,000 signatures as of Saturday evening and has a goal of 15,000 signatures.
During the performance in Montreal, a crowd of protesters, as well as Antifa agitators, gathered around the building, and someone threw a smoke bomb in the church at Feucht while he was performing.
“This show runs counter to the values of inclusion, solidarity, and respect that are championed in Montreal. Freedom of expression is one of our fundamental values, but hateful and discriminatory speech is not acceptable in Montreal,” a Montreal city spokesman said. “A ticket was issued because the organization violated the regulations by going ahead with the show.”
One 38-year-old man was arrested by police for obstruction during the performance.
