Trump urges Tennesseans to vote GOP in District 7 particular election towards Dem Aftyn Behn who ‘hates Christianity’
Trump told a crowd in Tennessee on Monday that Aftyn Behn “hates Christianity” and “hates country music.”
President Donald Trump has called for support of GOP congressional candidate Matt Van Epps in Tennessee’s 7th congressional district election that will take place on Tuesday. The Democrat candidate, Aftyn Behn, has previously said that she hates Nashville, a city within the district.
In a post to Truth Social, Trump announced, “I am asking all America First Patriots in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District, who haven’t voted yet, to please GET OUT AND VOTE on Election Day, Tuesday, December 2nd, for a phenomenal Candidate, Matt Van Epps. Matt is fighting against a woman who hates Christianity, will take away your guns, wants Open Borders, Transgender for everybody, men in women’s sports, and openly disdains Country music.”
“She said all of these things precisely, and without question — IT’S ON TAPE! Do not take this Race for granted. The Radical Left Democrats are spending a fortune to beat one of the best Candidates we’ve ever had, Matt Van Epps! You can win this Election for Matt. GET OUT AND VOTE FOR MATT VAN EPPS, who has my Complete and Total Endorsement — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!” he added.
Van Epps is the former commissioner of the Tennessee Department of General Services, and is running against Democrat state Rep. Aftyn Behn in a special election. The district is widely considered to be a solidly red, but Democrats are looking to perform well after the November elections saw several wins from high-profile Democratic mayors and governors.
Trump also called into a rally on Monday, speaking through a phone into the microphone with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) in support of Van Epps.
“The whole world is watching Tennessee right now and they’re watching the district,” Trump said. “It’s gotta show that the Republican Party is stronger than it’s ever been. We have a bigger, stronger party than we’ve ever had. We have more members of the Republican Party than we’ve ever had and we love Tennessee.”
Trump said of Behn that she “hates Christianity” as well as “hates country music.”
