Trump Scoffs at Leftist Narrative of 'President Musk'—'He's Not Gonna Be President, That I Can Tell You'

0

We’ve reported on the Democrats’ latest scare-mongering tactic where they warn of a “President Musk” pulling Donald Trump’s strings and telling him what to do and how to proceed with his upcoming presidency. Or that Musk will run for and win the Oval Office in 2028. It’s silly stuff, but they’re going with that narrative on virtually every MSNBC and CNN show they can find.

What started their latest desperate attack is that Musk, the world’s richest person, the owner of X, and the CEO of Tesla, weighed in on the bloated “continuing resolution” that was set to be voted on Wednesday. After he, Trump, and Vivek Ramaswamy all expressed their disgust with the plan, the resolution was pulled (a smaller bill was finally agreed on, which passed both the House and Senate and which President Biden signed on Saturday, ensuring the government will remain funded through March 14).

Speaking Sunday at TurningPointUSA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix, the president-elect put a kibosh on the silliness. “No, he’s not gonna be president, that I can tell you,” Trump said. “And I’m safe, you know why? He can’t be—he wasn’t born in this country—HA HA!”

Whether you’re a Trump fan or not, you have to admit he’s pretty funny:

Trump mocked the media for continuing to give oxygen to the leftist narrative.

The fake news knows that [that Musk can’t become president]! No, he’s a great guy, and we want to have him—everybody—so many people in this audience have helped.

He thanked Musk for his leadership in the swing state of Pennsylvania.

Musk “went to Pennsylvania, and he stayed — stayed up there for a month, and helped us to win that state, which we won by a lot.”

“So he was really good,” Trump added.

Following the November election, Trump appointed Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy to lead a new agency—the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. Although the DOGE will only have advisory power and cannot make cuts to the budget by itself, both Musk and Ramaswamy have been vocal about their plans. So has Trump:

DOGE will “provide advice and guidance from outside of government” and work alongside the White House Office of Management and Budget, the president-elect said.

“It will become, potentially, ‘The Manhattan Project’ of our time,” Trump added. “Republican politicians have dreamed about the objectives of ‘DOGE’ for a very long time.”

DOGE explains why Democrats are fear-mongering with their “President Musk” narrative. They’re terrified that Elon, Vivek, and Trump will actually get something done and curtail their endless overspending and pork-filled bills.

Time to let the DOGE loose.
