Trump Explodes on RINO Karl Rove in Sunday Night Truth Social Rant

Former President Donald Trump, though now allowed back on both Facebook and Twitter, is sticking to posting on Truth Social for now. While not ideal from a getting his message out there to the widest number of people perspective, his use of Truth Social is good in that the larger character limit lets him sound off on issues in a more loquacious way.

Such is just what he did during a Sunday night post about Karl Rove the Bush Era RINO Karl Rove, saying:

People are wasting money if the support Karl Rove or Club For No Growth. “Club” was only successful when they asked to work with me on Endorsements. We never had a loss, but broke up over J.D. Vance. They said he couldn’t win, and spent a fortune to prove their point. The commercials never ended! I said he would win, Endorsed him, & he won big, and this against a tough opponent. I then continued to do more of the same against them, ended up with 233 WINS out of 253 races in the General Election!

For reference, the “Club for Growth,” is an economy-focused network of business-minded Americans. Describing itself on its home page, the Club for Growth says:

Fighting for Economic Growth, Together. The Club for Growth is a national network of over 500,000 pro-growth, limited government Americans who share in the belief that prosperity and opportunity come from economic freedom. The leading free-enterprise advocacy group in the nation, we win tough battles and we have an enormous influence on economic policy. The Club for Growth is the only organization that is willing and able to take on any Member of Congress on policy who fails to uphold basic economic conservative principles…regardless of party. We pinpoint key bills up for debate in Congress. We exert maximum pressure on lawmakers to vote like free-market, limited government conservatives. And if they don’t, we hold them accountable by publicizing their voting record.

While it sounds like the sort of group Trump would be interested in working with as a business-focused president, he and the group have had a falling out since the 2022 midterms, as was not so subtly suggested at in his Truth post. Axios, reporting on that falling out, reported that:

The anti-tax group was closely aligned with former President Trump during his time in office despite his free-spending record. But the Club for Growth is now forging an independent path as a potential anti-Trump bulwark in the presidential race — while still championing establishment-bucking, MAGA-aligned candidates in Congress.

Context: It clashed with Trump last year in two high-profile Senate primaries in 2022, going up unsuccessfully against his endorsed primary picks in Ohio (J.D. Vance) and Pennsylvania (Mehmet Oz).

Trump’s fight with Rove is more obvious. Rove is a Bush ally, rumored DeSantis ally, and RINO who is a Conservative, Inc figure rather than a MAGA Republican, so Trump’s hostility to him is obvious and much liked by the base.
