Tom Homan Obliterates Dems for Defending MS-13 Suspect: ‘What About Angel Moms?’
Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan has launched a blistering rebuke of Democrat lawmakers for defending suspected MS-13 gang member Kilmar Ábrego García, calling out their apparent disregard for victims of illegal immigrant crime.
Homan’s comments come as Democratic leaders face criticism for advocating on behalf of violent criminals while ignoring grieving families in the U.S.
As previously reported, several Democratic lawmakers—including Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD)—recently traveled to El Salvador to demand the release of Ábrego García, a suspected MS-13 member previously deported from the U.S.
The move has sparked outrage from conservative leaders and law enforcement officials.

During an interview on Fox News, host John Roberts questioned Homan about domestic abuse allegations against Ábrego García. Roberts read directly from a protective order filed by a woman accusing him of serious violence:
“It says, in part, the following, quote, ‘I have photos of all the bruises he has left on my body. Me and my kids are afraid now. He’s kicked me, pushed me, slapped me in the face, threatened me,’” Roberts read.
“I also have a record that he’s told me, my ex-mother-in-law, that even if he kills me, no one can do anything to him.’ She alleges significant abuse, and this would seem to buttress the notion that this guy was not the husband and father of the year the Democrats are making him out to be.”
Homan did not hold back in his response:
“Well, it supports what we’ve been saying from day one. We removed the public safety threat, gang member, designated terrorist, who’s been ordered twice to be deported to the United States. He’s in El Salvador. He’s home. We did the right thing.”
He continued, slamming Democrats for what he described as misplaced priorities:
“But I hope that the Democrats keep going down there. I hope they keep playing this game. They’re showing the American people they’re supporting a gang member terrorist public safety threat, wife beater, rather than meet with Angel moms and dads. I’m meeting with 50 Angel moms and dads this afternoon.”
Watch:
“Is there one Democrat representative going to be there? No.”
Despite Ábrego García’s extensive criminal history and immigration violations, some media outlets have referred to him as a “Maryland man.”
However, he has no legal status in the United States and has been tied to MS-13 leadership since at least 2019.
According to court documents from a 2019 arrest, García was wearing a Chicago Bulls hat and a hoodie with imagery believed to be linked to MS-13.
A confidential informant also identified him as an active MS-13 member.
In 2022, García was involved in a suspicious traffic stop in Tennessee.
A State Police officer found him transporting several other illegal aliens from Maryland to Houston, Texas—without carrying any luggage.
Authorities flagged the incident and reported it to federal officials.
The vehicle García was driving belonged to Jose Ramon Hernandez Reyes, another illegal immigrant who pleaded guilty to human trafficking in 2020.
During the stop, García told officers Reyes was his boss.
He was flagged in internal DHS documents as a “suspect alien” potentially involved in “human smuggling/trafficking.”
