Texas Troopers Find Children Abandoned at the Border – JP

Texas authorities found a 10-year-old boy at the U.S. southern border alone, believed to be left by smugglers.

The boy was brought across the border from El Salvador, Texas Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Chris Olivarez explained. “The child was crying and told troopers a smuggling guide left him behind and that he was lost. The child only had a phone and stated his parents were in the US. The child was turned over to the US Border Patrol,” he wrote on X.

The child claimed that his mother was already in the United States.

Similarly, a young girl around 2 years old was found with a piece of paper displaying a phone number and a name.

The child was discovered in a group of 211 illegal immigrants.

When asked if she entered the United States by herself, the little girl nodded. She later held up two fingers for her age.
