Taylor Swift's Chiefs Game 8 Jacket Was Purchased on eBay
Online steal! Taylor Swift‘s vintage Kansas City Chiefs bomber jacket she wore to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce at his game on Monday, November 4, came from a $169 eBay purchase. The thrilled seller shared her story after seeing the pop superstar wearing it at Arrowhead Stadium.
“Y’all, Taylor Swift was wearing my old jacket at the Chiefs game tonight!” a TikTok user named Court shared in a video that same evening of the game, captioned, “As a Chiefs fan and a Swiftie, I am not OK right now.”
Court showed photos of Taylor, 34, arriving at the stadium in the black jacket featuring pops of the teams red and gold colors along with team logo patches.
“My mom was like, ‘That jacket looks familiar, that looks like the one you used to have.’ And so, I was like, ‘Did we sell that on eBay?’” she continued. Court said she checked with her dad, who asked, “Isn’t that the one that went out to California?”
“So, we checked, and it did go to California,” Court excitedly said of the jacket, while noting she was in Kansas City.
Court explained, “Obviously we would have noticed if it said ‘shipped to Taylor Swift,’” but upon further inspection, she realized that the purchaser was Taylor’s stylist. Court, who claimed to be a nearly “20-year” fan of the “Fortnight” artist, showed a screengrab of the eBay sale, featuring a photo of the jacket as well as the sale price of $169, while hiding the name of the person who bought it.
The TikTok user pointed out a distinct crease in the back of the jacket she sold online, then showed a photo of the same crease on Taylor’s coat. Court also hinted at how old the jacket was, saying she was going to look for photos of her wearing it when she “was little.”
“I am freaking out! Thank you, Taylor’s stylist, for buying the jacket. As a lifelong Chiefs fan and a super Swiftie, this is the coolest thing that ever happened to me,” Court gushed.
The Grammy winner’s eBay find paired perfectly with the rest of the ensemble she wore to watch the Chiefs beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30 – 24 in an overtime thriller. Taylor donned a black corset top by Mugler, Agolde belted cutoff shorts, black Christian Louboutin cowboy boots, a black Dior saddle bag and topped off her look with a vintage Chanel necklace.
Taylor wasn’t the only one who turned heads fashion-wise at the game. She was accompanied by her mom, Andrea Swift, who wore a black jacket with a zip neckline that had the phrase “In My Chiefs Era” embroidered in red text. It was a sweet nod to both Travis’ team and her daughter’s Eras tour.
The “Cruel Summer” singer was finally able to attend one of Travis’ games after completing the last of her Eras tour U.S. stops. Taylor played Sunday shows in Miami, Florida, New Orleans, Louisiana and Indianapolis, Indiana, over the three prior weekends that conflicted with Travis’ NFL schedule.
Since the Super Bowl champ’s game was on Monday Night Football, Taylor flew to Kansas City after her final show in Indy on Sunday, November 3. Travis, 35, showed his support for his girlfriend by flying to Indianapolis to take in her Saturday night show on November 2, in what was likely his last chance to see Taylor in concert before her Eras tour ends on December 8 in Vancouver, Canada.
