Taylor Swift Celebrates Chiefs’ Undefeated Season With Group Hug

Taylor Swift celebrated the Chiefs’ undefeated season with a group hug in a private suite at Arrowhead Stadium. The “Ready for It” singer embraced her mom, Andrea Swift, and her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, when the team clinched the win.

Taylor, 35, was spotted entering Arrowhead Stadium shortly before the Chiefs took on the Houston Texans on December 21. She looked to be in the Christmas spirit wearing a red Charlotte Simon coat with red fur trim, along with black tights, black knee-high boots and a black Chanel bucket hat.

As the game ended and the Chiefs walked away victorious, a video shared on X showed Taylor pull her mom into a hug. Donna, 72, who was still looking out at the field and clapping, noticed and turned toward the mother daughter duo and Taylor threw her arms around her as well. Celebrations were certainly in order as this was the first time the Chiefs have had an undefeated season since 2003.

Taylor’s been a regular attendee at Travis’ games since they began dating in the summer of 2023. The “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer made her first appearance at a Chiefs game on September 24, 2023.

Travis, 35, later gushed about her presence at the game during his “New Heights” podcast. His older brother and cohost, Jason Kelce, joked that Travis had a “special guest” at the game and asked him how he felt “about Taylor putting him on the map.”

“Shout out to Taylor for pulling up,” Travis said with a smile. “That was pretty ballsy. I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her, you know, the friends and family. She looked amazing. Everybody was talking about her in a great light, and on top of that, the day went perfect for Chiefs fans.”

However, her attendance at games also brought some critics out of the woodwork who felt her presence was distracting from the sport being played on the field. The Miss Americana star later called out the haters during her interview as Time’s Person of the Year in December 2023.

“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” Taylor said at the time. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once. I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

The critics have continued to chastise the NFL for showing her on their social media accounts, though. In September, the official NFL TikTok account shared a video of Taylor arriving at Arrowhead Stadium and wrote, “She’s here,” in the caption.

A social media user who seemingly didn’t like the clip wrote in the comments section, “Can we get a football post?”

“Here damn,” the NFL account clapped back with a video of Baltimore Ravens player Derrick Henry. They followed up that comment with, “ya when the game starts,” and it sent fans into hysterics, laughing at the dig.

“I love that the NFL is like ‘if football is not being played, we are a Taylor Swift stan account so shut up Brian,’” one fan wrote, while another added, “‘Here damn’ is crazy,” with several laughing emojis.
